Planner Girl Obsessed
Happy Monday, everyone!
Starting off the week with a new planner and I am beyond excited. Yes, I am one of those girls that have multiple planners, notebooks, pens, stickers and the list just goes on and on. But this planner is different. Sound familiar to my fellow planner obsessed girls?
I featured this planner in my Girly Girl post, found it at my local Marshalls. When I saw it? I flipped out in my head. If I really flipped out in the store? It would have been a real big problem. When I look at this planner, I smile and it just makes me happy. Sounds weird, but I feel like if you have a planner that is cute, you will use it more. I've had my fair share of planners. Random Target ones, Kate Spade, Lilly Pulitzer and others. Don't get me wrong, they were all pretty and beautiful. This new planner is just different (now, I'm sounding like a weirdo, but I'm going to keep going). I feel like this planner is so me. The white and light colors and the drawings. Just all so me.
You might be wondering, why starting it in the middle of June? The planner starts today, June 25th, and I've been waiting to use it! It starts with July and goes to December 2019. So, I will get a lot of use from it. I plan out everything, and I mean everything. I make little to do lists, write down blog posts days and etc. I usually write in pencil, I have learned over the years that pens should be for more permanent things. Seeing the scratched out marks in pen? I HATE IT. It doesn't look nice and it bothers me. Mini OCD, ya think?
Writing in pencil is the way to go for me, but you can write in whatever you want. When I do write in pens? I used colored ones. To color code and to make the pages pretty, duh. I have three different types of pens I use. The first picture are Sharpie pens. They actually do not bleed through the pages which is a huge must for me. I got mine at Target and in the colorful pack. The second picture are regular pens and highlighters that I got from the Dollar Spot at Target. I always look around there because they are so cheap. The last picture are classic planner pens, Paper Mate. I got the tropical pack, I just thought the colors were brighter than they original ones, gotta go the different route some times.
To plan and organize, I also use a weekly spread sheet and a notebook. The weekly sheet is from Marshalls and again, I feel like this is so me. The stripe shirt and the nails painted? SO CUTE. Like I said about the planner, if the weekly sheet is cute? I'm going to use it more. The notebook in the picture is by Kate Spade from Marshalls. I've been collecting them for a while now. I have about 4 or 5 of them. They are the perfect size to put in a work bag, a purse or even to use for school. I got this one on sale for about $4. If you want new designs, definitely check out Kate Spade online. In the notebooks are lists, notes and just random things. The lists are usually ideas for blog posts, Instagram pictures and YouTube videos (I will get back to creating the videos, just give me some time.)
All and all? I feel like if the things you use to plan with, planners, weekly sheets (which you can find online, you don't have to buy), notebooks, pens, pencils and etc, are cute, you will use them more. I feel like I am more organized and know when to actually post things or know when things are do or if I have appointment. Wish I was like this in high school AND college. My planner obsession might have actually helped me. I hope this post wasn't too boring. I actually felt pretty good writing things down on how I organize because I might actually help people with this post.
Remember, want to get more organized? CUTE THINGS!
Until the next post
