If you're in the Boston area this week? You know that it has been in the 90's. So, basically a mini heat wave.
I checked the weather at the beginning of the week and I realized I had no shorts at all, or any that fit me. I usually can deal with jeans or leggings in the summer, but if the weather is going to be super hot? I wouldn't be able to handle it. So, mom and I went on a hunt for shorts. We went to Marshalls. I found one pair. ONE. Some didn't fit me and I just got in a crappy mood. We left and headed over to Burlington Coat Factory. Browsed a little and then I hit the jackpot. It was insane how many shorts I found that fit and that I actually liked. I got three shorts and a pair of flowy pants. All different patterns. SO out of my comfort zone. All of them have a drawstring and they are so comfy. I used to be a jean shorts type of girl but, they are not so comfy. These shorts though? Heaven.
This outfit I wore to a 4th of July party last night and I am still in love how this whole outfit came together. The shorts made the outfit. These shorts are a pair that I found at Burlington. They are so comfy but yet, when you put the on, you look put together. It was so hot, nasty hot, and I yet, I was so comfortable in the shorts.
Before the party, I knew I want to wear this pair, they look somewhat 4th of July. So, I went into my closet and found the perfect top! I linked a short that is so close to it. I have worn it once before to an event and it was so comfy. I just had to pair the shirt with the shorts. I had a pair of white sandals from Target, and they just completed the outfit. Threw my hair in a side braid and in a low bun. I paired my MK tote with it, I feel like this bag can go with anything. This whole #ootd just screams summer to me. These shorts scream summer. All the bottoms I paired with tops and I love all of the outfits. You will see the outfits in future posts.
So, if you need shorts? Try out Burlington Coat Factory (if you're near one but you can also shop online!).
Until the next post!
