💖 Happy Galentine's Day 💖
February 15th - Galentine's Day.
Spending time with your girlfriends, treating yourself and chocolate? It sounds like Valentine's Day, right? Nope. We get our own holiday. But, there shouldn't be just one day for this. You should have girl nights out or in, treat yourself to a large coffee or a sheet mask, and most important, CHOCOLATE. We most definitely do not need a day just for chocolate. Just like Valentine's Day, there shouldn't be just one day for loving someone or showing how you love them with flowers, etc.
Now, how did I spend my Galentine's Day? A week ago, at a hair salon on Newbury St in Boston with some amazing ladies. I'm apart of Bloggers Live Boston and they had a very cute event that I just couldn't pass up, Bubbles, Blowouts and Babes.
Entering the salon (Viselli Salon), I could just feel all the girl power in the room. We were welcomed with rosé and a little goodie bag. I knew it was going to be an amazing event.
I was so happy to be meeting up with my fellow Boston bloggers, it has been a while since I went to a blogger event, so it was great seeing everyone. My favorite part though? A free blowout. Now, before that night, I have never had a blowout before. I must say, I might need to get one every month. It was so relaxing. I love going to my hair dresser and having my hair done. This night though? Rosé and friends all around while getting my hair done? I was all set. That night was my actually first Galentine's event and I do not know how next year is going to compete with it.
After the event, I went out to dinner with two of my blogger friends and it felt goof to go out and have girl time. We talked about the event, boys, food and blogger things. The night was just an amazing night all around. I wish every weekend was like that.
Tomorrow is Valentine's Day, I will be working, I don't mind at all, because I know after work I will be getting into my PJs, having chocolate and I think I will be watching Harry Potter in bed.
I don't have an "official" Valentine, single and loving it. I do know that my family and my friends are all my Valentines, and that's all that matters.
So, happy Galentine's Day and happy Valentine's Day, my lovies!
Until the next post...
xoxo Caitlyn 💖
